Ian is a multi-talented filmmaker who has over a decade of experience producing environmental and social- sustainability videos. Ian is an accomplished videographer, editor, musician, recording engineer, and sound designer. Ian has worked on feature documentaries, short films, music videos, public service announcements, promos, and corporate videos.

Ian is currently a courtesy faculty and post- production specialist at The Florida State University College of Motion Picture and Recording Arts. Ian has been teaching documentary editing for the last 15 years and his students' films have gone on to win student-Emmys and student Oscars, as well as have screen at The Cannes Film Festival. Ian is passionate about teaching and working with creative people to help take their visions to the next level.

Ian also has a passion for traveling to biodiverse landscapes around the world and filming nature to support conservation efforts by celebrating the splendor of the natural world.

Ian continues to work on his passion projects, all to the beat of his very own drum, often producing original soundtrack music for his films.

My short film "Disappearing Waters - Lake Okeeheebee - Lake Jackson" was selected and screened at multiple film festivals in 2023-2024. 

I developed a series of videos for NOAA to be played on their Science on the Sphere.

2021-2022 

My short film "Make America Again" was selected and screened at multiple film festivals in 2020-2021.

I was post sound recordist and provided footage for "Invisible History: Middle Florida’s Hidden Roots", a feature length documentary that played nationally on PBS in 2021.

I was cinematographer for "Daring Women Doctors: Physicians in the 19th Century", a feature length documentary that played nationally on PBS in 2020.

My nature music video "A Light Skip into Flight" was selected and screened at multiple film festivals in 2015. 

I was cinematographer and editor on "Bus Ride Zero", which award for outstanding Public Service Announcement at BEA 2015. 

I wrote, directed and edited "Imagine Green", which won best Public Service Announcement at BEA 2010. 

I was cinematographer and editor on "Abe", which won a student Emmy in 2007
